Privacy Policy

What we collect

PrepBrief collects your email address when you sign up, and the content of calendar events you choose to generate a brief for (event title, time, attendee names, and description). We do not collect your calendar without explicit action from you.

How we use it

Event data is sent to our server solely to generate your AI meeting brief. We use Anthropic's Claude API to process this data. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Brief content is not stored after generation.

Third-party services

• Anthropic Claude — AI brief generation (event data only, no retention)
• Supabase — User accounts and usage tracking (EU/US data centres)
• Stripe — Payment processing (we never see your card details)
• Resend — Transactional emails (magic links, receipts)

Data retention

Your account data (email, usage count, subscription status) is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@sideeyelabs.io. Brief content is not stored after delivery.

Chrome extension permissions

PrepBrief requests access to Google Calendar pages only. It reads event data from the page you're viewing and sends it to our server when you click "Prep". It does not read your full calendar or run in the background.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out — we do not sell personal data; no opt-out required
